The Short Breaks team helps children and young people with disabilities and complex needs to engage in active and age appropriate play opportunities which promote their independence, social skills and well-being.
ou will be enthusiastic, flexible and ideally have experience working with school aged children and young people in an inclusive setting. Having a caring and child-centred attitude, you will help create a positive environment that provides children and young people with opportunities to experience a wide range of play opportunities, explore activities and experiment, develop friendships and have fun.
Salary: £11.68 hr / £12.00 Saturdays
Hours: Primary 9am - 1pm and Secondary 11am - 3pm term time only
Holiday Club offers 7 hours per session. Sessions run weekdays during most school holidays 08/8.30am to 3.30pm (10 weeks p.a.). Staff can be contracted for every holiday or flexi.

Office Manager/Administrator
We are a small local charity providing a range of services for children and families across B&NES. We are looking for someone who is able to support the background running of the organisation in the office and be flexible in the scope of the role.
The Office Manager/Administrator role is a part time post working on a Tuesday and Friday in our office in the South of Bath. The role includes:
Being a friendly welcome for visitors to ODCC & BAPP and respond to external requests for information (manage Bookings and Enquiries email Inboxes)
To provide administrative and organisational support to the Trustees including servicing bimonthly meetings.
To promote, increase usage and manage administration of facilities including use of Odd Down Community Centre and bookings.
To keep the BAPP website up to date, provide social media content and produce marketing materials as required.
To design & produce the BAPP Annual Report and service AGM.
To be responsible for compliance across all required statutory systems and equipment including arranging annual service checks.
You will have a good range of computer skills including familiarity with MS Word, Excel and some basic website design and have an inclusive, courteous and supportive telephone manner and good communication skills and be an excellent team player. You should be confident to work independently and on your own initiative and also share ideas and implement changes to improve admin processes.
There will be further hours available for project specific work.
The successful applicant will require an Enhanced DBS check as we work with children and be a key holder.

Pay: Up to £25,473 pro-rata per year Actual £6,884.80

A Family Play Support Worker works as part of a team to support whole families with school age children (5 – 19 years) who are referred to the Family Support & Play Service visiting them at least weekly to offer practical help and emotional support. The aim as a preventative service and part of the B&NES Early Help offer is support for whole families. Children, young people and their families are at the heart of our Family Support and Play Service and our team provide early support before things get worse. We build on the strength and resilience of families and communities empowering them to help themselves using the family partnership approach. You will receive regular support from the Early Help Team Leader and clinical supervision.
You will work with up to 4 or 5 families at any one time who are referred to the service from a range of agencies including schools and health professionals. On one day per week (Tuesday), you will be working with colleagues providing school based Nurture Groups across B&NES.
You will be a car driver and have access to a vehicle as families live across B&NES for which mileage is paid.

Level 2 Apprentice Early Years Practitioner – 32 hours/week
We are a small charity run Nursery and Pre-school open term time only and looking for an Apprentice L2 EY Practitioner. You will be working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the setting 08.30 – 15.15 and attending Bath College on a Tuesday approx. 10.00 to 15.00 a total of 32 hours/week, term time only.
